  • 800m T46 (Final) – 10pm (SS6)

Hermas Cliff Muvunyi kept his hopes of a medal at the on-going 2012 London Paralympic Games alive after qualifying for Saturday’s 800m T46 final.

The 24-year-old finished second in his heat after clocking 1:58:18, ten micro-seconds adrift of Tunisia’s Fouzai Mohammed who won the heat.

Muvunyi missed out on a podium finish in the men’s 400m but yesterday proved that he is still a force to be reckoned with as he qualified for the final.

He will be joined in the showpiece by the likes of Gunther Matzinger of Austria, Algeria’s Samir Nouioua, El Harti Abdelhadi of Morocco and the Kentan pair of Abraham Tarbei of Kenya, Jonah Kipkemoi Chesum.
