Xavio Uwumukiza, a senior six student from Rusizi, Cyangugu, is the first MTN Rwanda lucky customer to win one of the three saloon cars the telecom company will be giving out in the eight-week Sharama promotion. A car is to be won every 20 days.

This was the second time for Uwumukiza, 21, to win in the Sharama promotion that kicked off on July 23. He already won a laptop in the first week of the promotion.

MTN Rwanda’s Chief Marketing Officer Yvonne Makolo handed over the car to him yesterday at a brief ceremony held at the MTN Service Center in Nyamirambo.

The entire promotion will see MTN subscribers win prizes worth Frw 90 million. The weekly prizes being won include 20 mobile phones, 5 bicycles, 2 motorbikes, 5 mattresses and 1 laptop with modem and 30 days free Internet as well as Frw 50,000 mobile money for ten subscribers.

MTN Rwanda is also giving out Frw 500 worth of airtime to 200 customers everyday and this is directly credited on the mobile phones.

To enter the promotion one needs to send SMS or call 155 any number of times and earn points for the draw.
