Jackson rocks at TPF 5 again
There is just one week left before the popular singing competition of Tusker Project Fame (TPF) 5 comes to a close. Five contestants are left in the running for the grand prize of five million Kenyan shillings and a one-year recording offer with a renowned record company.
Rwanda’s Jackson’s performances are sending the crowd wild every time; he is indeed quite a crowd charmer and has earned a huge fan base, comprised notably of ladies.
For the past two months, TPF has seen these contestants mature musically. They have been enrolled in an academy where they are trained vocally and in stage performance. To the amusement of the judges, they have really improved compared to the start where they all seemed to have stage freight.
The contestants have also been guided to compose their own songs and sing them, and Jackson has not disappointed – he has shown he is a born artist.
Two weeks ago, when contestants were asked to perform to their own compositions, Jackson wrote a song called ‘Safari’ based on a personal experience: he explained that he met a beautiful girl on a bus while travelling. They exchanged contacts and soon they were in a relationship that unfortunately did not last long. The judges loved it, as did the crowd.
The day of the truth is next Sunday, July 29. Unlike in the past, when there would only be three contestants left, this time five are up for the crown, and their fate is entirely up to the viewers, who can vote by sending the word “Tusker” followed by the number of their favorite to 7333. To vote for Jackson, that would be “Tusker 10.”
We can only wish him luck!
