MTN wishes a memorable festive season to72 winners

MTN Rwanda on Friday for the third time gave away prizes to 72 of its customers for their Christmas loyalty promotion dubbed “Izihize” running from November 30 to December 28, 2011.

The prizes given away include 50 LG phones, 10 ZTE 160 phones, 5 Huawei IDEOS phones, 2 Blackberry Torch with free one month subscription, 3 Samsung Galaxy Tabs and 2 laptops with a modem and 30 days of internet access.

According to Justine Mugabo, the MTN’s Nyamirambo service center supervisor, through this month, the telecommunication company has been loading Frw 500 worth of airtime every day on the phones of 400 customers apart from the 72 weekly winners.

Yvonne Manzi Makolo, the MTN Rwanda’s chief marketing officer, explained that all customers are eligible if they stay connected to the company’s network and use any of the MTN services.

“Our customers only need to have made call, sent an SMS, use data, bought a caller tune, or use MTN mobile money to stand a chance to win any of the prizes on offer,” Makolo explained.

On Friday, the prizes went away to customers of different background ranging from ordinary people, medics to public servants.

Augustin Halerimana, the permanent secretary of Joint Action Development Forum in Ngoma district, is one of the winners who went home with a laptop.

For the public servant, the company offered him something important beyond a physical computer since it is going to facilitate him in his daily activities.

“Nowadays, new technologies and especially internet have become key tools in many achievement,” Halerimana said. “That is why I hope to achieve greater and do my work easier with the use of this computer.”

MTN Rwanda will have rewarded 2,872 winners each week and a total of 11, 488 winners by the end of this festive season promotion on December 28, 2011.
