Even a boss sometimes has to relax, and Radio Flash has seen to it that two of them do just that. ![]() Relax, boss! Radio Flash marketing chief Derrick Kagimu. At the end of the 3-week contest, 60 nominees entered a ruffle draw to select two lucky winners who will now be treated to a two-night stay at Serena hotels. According to Derrick Kagimu, the head of marketing at Radio Flash, the show aimed at rewarding the corporate society. “These are some of the people who give us business and normally don’t get time to relax,” he says. It is also part of the radio station’s drive to keep listeners informed about events in the world of business, with the news-room now paying special attention to reporting business news including trade and stock market reports, both local and regional. Two bosses, however, will now have the opportunity to escape from all that for two days. The winners of the Take your boss out of town contest were Gloria Nyambok, who is in charge of business at the Kenya Commercial Bank, and Yves Mbungo from the Skynet Worldwide Express. Nyambok says she was delighted when she heard that she had won. The luxury weekend will indeed come as a relief to her, she says, since she has spent many sleepless nights off late working on the installation of new machines in her department. “Finally, I will get some time out of the office and be able to relax,” she says. |
